The field trial run in Viterbo, at the Experimental Station of the University of Tuscia, was organized in 6 blocks, all including the 74 entries of the IMPRESA shared set (see Introduction to this Section) organized in a randomized fashion among blocks. In each block, every entry was represented by a 1.2 m long row, along which 13 seeds were planted at a 10. cm distance; distance between rows was 25 cm. Three blocks were grown under rainfed conditions, while the remaining 3 blocks were given supplementary irrigation from the onset of anthesis stage up to dough stage. Sowing was made in late December 2019, harvest at the end of June 2020.
