How to Reach Us

 

 

 

 

By plane:

 

From Rome international airport Leonardo da Vinci, fast trains Leonardo Express reach Roma Termini station (with no intermediate stops), while FR1 trains run every 60 minutes to Orte station (about 2 hours travelling).

 

From both the stations you can take a train to Viterbo Porta Fiorentina (for more details see the following information).

 

 

By train:

 

From Rome: From Roma Termini station you can take the subway, line A direction Battistini, and stop at Valle Aurelia. Here there are railway connections reaching Viterbo Porta Fiorentina station in about 2 hours.

 

From Roma Termini station you can also take the subway, line B direction Laurentina, stop at Piramide. Here exit the subway and reach Ostiense station (few minutes walking), where you can find railway connections to Viterbo Porta Fiorentina (about 2 hours travelling).

 

Alternatively, from both Roma Termini and Roma Tiburtina stations take a train to Firenze or Ancona and stop at Orte station (about 40 minutes). Here you can find trains to reach (in 1 hour) Viterbo Porta Fiorentina.

 


From Florence, different trains reach Orte station. Here you can find railway connections to Viterbo Porta Fiorentina.

 


From Viterbo Porta Fiorentina station you may either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a taxi to the University campus.

 

 

By car:

 

In general, you can take the Rome-Florence highway (A1) and exit at Orte. Here take the Orte-Viterbo speedway (E45) and exit at Viterbo Nord. Proceed toward Viterbo for less than 1 km and follow the indications to Università (see the map).

 

From Rome you can also take the slower National Road Cassia Bis (S.S.2. Bis). Near Monterosi village the road becomes narrow and then goes through the villages of Sutri, Capranica and Vetralla. Leaving Vetralla, take the E45 speedway following the indication to Viterbo Nord. Exit at S.S. Tuscanese, keep the right and follow the indications to Università. Otherwise, exit at Viterbo Nord, proceed toward Viterbo for less than 1 km and follow the indications to Università (see the map).

 

From Siena you can alternatively take the National Road Cassia (S.S.2.) and reach Viterbo in about 2 hours. Here, follow the indications to Università (see the map, Viterbo Nord Exit).

 

 

 

 

The Biophysics & NanoScience Centre is located inside the Facoltà di Scienze, in Largo dell'Università, località Riello, at the end of the street, on the right (see the map). When enter the gateway, turn right and take the first left. The Centre is in the building called Blocco E.
