The concept for IMPRESA is to integrate extensive trials of novel and untapped genetic resources with intensive study of mechanisms and genes that increase durum wheat (DW) yield potential and stability under abiotic stresses, thus advancing knowledge of the processes contributing to improved tolerance, and, at the same time, paving the way for the new knowledge to be exploited through breeders by farming communities and end-user stakeholders.
To achieve these goals, the project has been structured in several work packages (WPs).
