Objectives: To produce good quality and extensive multilevel “omics” data (from genomics to metabolomics) on selected tissues (flag leaf, roots, anthers), known to be highly sensitive to abiotic stresses, in order to detect variability at the various omics levels for stress response, also associated with yield performance, within the best performing and control genotypes selected in WP2. The ultimate objective is the application of this systems biology approach, to integrate large scale data from the “omics” and physiological analyses (WP1 and WP2) and identify biological networks involved in the stress response (metabolites, proteins and genes, up- or down-regulated under specific stress conditions)
