 OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

 ENGLISH is the official language for the symposium. Simultaneous translation English to Italian and English to Spanish according to the number of participants that request translation.

AIMS

 

Wild animals Vigilance Euromediterranean Society (WAVES) was founded in Spain about 30 years ago with the aims to promote scientific research and extension in the field of wildlife management. WAVES international now includes many country branches with more than 300 members that organise a symposium each two years.

The main topics of WAVES are wildlife management and conservation, interaction between wildlife and crop/animals’ production systems, sanitary vigilance on wildlife disease, and quality of foods from wild animals. Some topics as the effects of climate, human disturbance, intensive agricultural systems on wildlife conservation, as also game animals’ management and interaction with protected species have been included in the field of interest.

INSTRUCTION TO AUTHORS

 

Papers can be presented as abstract (1 page) or short paper (3 pages) according to Author preferences. The preferred presentation mode (poster or oral) can be requested in the template. The presentation mode and text revision are in charge to the Scientific Committee and will be indicated with the acceptance of the paper contribution. The Proceedings will be published online with ISBN, papers must be submitted to isowif2019@unitus.it, object “scientific secretariat”, asking for ”read receipt”, using word for windows. The first author must be registered at the congress according to registration deadline. The same author can present maximum two contributes as first author.

Speakers are invited to upload their presentation files (USB memory stick, etc) to the slide point (at the Registration Desk) at the latest 2 hours before their scheduled session. Speakers are invited to check their presentation on the available PC before any session. Available presentations system supports ONLY Microsoft WINDOWS. If the presentation includes any video they should be checked at the slide point. Oral presentations are limited to a 12/15-minute (except for lectures) with 3 minutes for discussion. Please note that Powerpoint must be used.

          A definitive program of oral presentations will be available soon  

Poster should be placed by the Author in the dedicated room, throughout the two days of meeting, according to the program (sept. 27 and 28). The poster should be printed on A0 format, vertical layout, and character large enough to be readable at 2 metres. The text can be divided in chapters (Introduction, Material and methods, etc).  A selection of the poster could be  presented during the appropriate session poster size: 90 cm wide (max)- 100 cm high (max) (preferably 70X90 cm). Necessary tools will be available at the Registration desk.
